Course Description
Palliative Care equips participants with the knowledge and practical skills to provide compassionate, holistic care to individuals facing serious illness and end-of-life challenges. The course focuses on improving quality of life through the management of pain and symptoms, as well as addressing the emotional, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of patients and their families.
Participants will learn principles of patient-centered care, communication in difficult situations, ethical decision-making, grief and bereavement support, and interdisciplinary teamwork. Emphasis is placed on dignity, empathy, and culturally sensitive care across diverse settings.
Through case studies, reflective practice, and real-life scenarios, learners will be prepared to support individuals and families with competence, compassion, and professional integrity in healthcare, ministry, and community environments.
